Superstar of the Week dream match: Lita vs AJ for the WWE Women’s Championship

pg-attitude:

We built to a point where everyone was down except for the old resilient cockroaches, E&C. […] As we climbed, the whole arena assumed we were going to pull out another one. That is until Lita ran down to the ring. […] Lita ran down and shoved Jay and me off the ladder we were climbing, for a simultaneous crotch shot on the top rope. […] As Lita checked on Matt we came to a point in the match that I wasn’t all that comfortable with. I was going to spear Crazy Leets. She assured me beforehand that she’d be okay, and to bring it. I knew she’d be hot if I didn’t, so I brought it. I brought it so much that her head smashed into a ladder at ringside as J.R. screamed, “That son of a bitch!” I saw her head hit and asked her, “You alright, girl?” Luckily she’s tough, and other than a goose egg she assured me she was okay. –Edge on Adam Copeland on Edge-

Lita defeats Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley winning the WWF Women’s Championship for the first time.

Thanks to Eric Bischoff and the RAW Roulette, 2003 saw Lita and Victoria compete in what was the first ever Divas Steel Cage match. [+]

Lita competed in the only two Divas matches to main event Monday Night RAW - the first against Stephanie McMahon in August 2000 and the second against Trish Stratus in December 2004. Incidentally, Lita captured the Women’s Championship on both occasions.
